SIAPAC has been involved in the socio-economic development arena for over 25 years.

At the core of SIAPAC’s approach to development is the active engagement of people as decision-makers, not decision-takers. The firm’s development work in the areas of research, monitoring and evaluation, policy development, social impact assessment, community participation facilitation and HIV&AIDS and OVC response are all based on a recognition that the sustainability of any intervention is dependent on the direct involvement of affected communities. At the same time, SIAPAC recognises that there are particular constraints facing the engagement of, and influence of, disempowered populations, and that this requires specific, innovative, sustained engagement and the building of broad-based community representative institutions.

As you can imagine, it has been extremely difficult to condense 25+ years of experience into a single website and still reflect the passion for excellence that defines SIAPAC. It is nevertheless reflected in the ability of the firm to work across hundreds of cultures yet maintain a sustained focus on engagement and advocacy for the interests of vulnerable groups, and is also reflected in the solid quality control systems SIAPAC has put into place that define its operations in developing countries around the world.
