About Us

SIAPAC, established in 1987, has been involved in well over two hundred development projects in two dozen developing countries across three continents.

Central to its success, SIAPAC has developed networks of professional consultants and consultancy firms that allow SIAPAC to maintain its core values and systems, yet continue to expand its geographic and sectoral reach.

 Vision

The SIAPAC vision is to offer the highest quality, cost-effective, professional consultancy services within SIAPAC’s fields of expertise.

SIAPAC operates with a focus on tailoring its consultancy work to the particular needs of each client while at the same time pursuing projects that reflect a belief in a developmental process that makes people active participants.

Mission

As a company, SIAPAC is committed to building human capacity. SIAPAC’s comprehensive experience affords it the ability to consistently meet clients' needs while concurrently meeting corporate objectives by bringing people into the development process as partners, rather than simply as beneficiaries.

Corporate objectives

SIAPAC’s corporate objectives are accomplished by using techniques that range from rapid and participatory appraisal approaches to full-scale, highly structured quantitative, qualitative and participatory approaches. This process gives interested and affected parties a voice in the decision making process from the beginning of consultations.

Mechanisms to accomplish this include participatory appraisal methods, follow-up problem prevention and problem solving interventions, providing community-engineering liaison services, as well as overall community participation in infrastructural projects. This can include the creation of community-based representative institutions at the local-level and direct skills transfer that can involve innovative short- or long-term counter-part training arrangements with government as well as non-governmental organisations. All of these strategies are based on internationally accepted best-practices.

SIAPAC is also committed to training private sector, applied socio-economic researchers and local staff at the professional, semi-professional and office levels.

SIAPAC has developed strategic alliances with consultants and consultancy firms who are leaders in their fields throughout developing countries. Further, through collaboration with experts in their fields, SIAPAC has developed innovative strategies to ensure that large- as well as small-scale development projects are implemented in a sustainable manner.

In sum, with 25 years of experience and over 250 successful projects, SIAPAC is the partner of choice in the development arena.
