Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

SIAPAC is led by Dr. David Cownie, who holds a PhD in Evaluation and Measurement. Since it was first incorporated in 1987, SIAPAC has been engaged in applied development research, baseline surveys, mid-term reviews, impact assessments and supporting the development and implementation of M&E systems. Approaches that are utilised include quantitative, qualitative and participatory methods. This gives the varied benefits of scope (with qualitative covering a wide variety of topics), depth (through quantitative approaches) and the establishment of initial consultative channels (through participatory techniques).

It also offers support of direct relevance to programme/project design and improvement, and providing lessons learned for new interventions.
